“A circular economy is an economic system aimed at eliminating waste and the continual use of resources. Circular systems employ reuse, sharing, repair, refurbishment, remanufacturing and recycling to create a closed-loop system, minimising the use of resource inputs and the creation of waste, pollution and carbon emissions. The circular economy aims to keep products, equipment and infrastructure in use for longer, thus improving the productivity of these resources“
Definition of Circular Economy
In the Prato area we have been recycling for centuries.
To recycle worn clothes (post consumer) and textile wastages (pre-consumer) to give new life to brand new fabrics is basically our History.
The whole cycle of our production takes place in our territory, so we can say that in Prato there is a real ZERO km of sustainable production, safeguarding the environment.
MTT designers and technicians are mindful in developing new collections not only to follow the latest fashion trends but also to mainly use materials, processes and products which will help in recycling fabrics to their natural end.
New life of recycled:
TEXTILE WASTAGES OR WORN CLOTHS
It is a few years now that a worldwide recognized certificate grants correct processes and traceability of recycled products.
This is called G.R.S. MTT SPA is certified since 2018.
In the same year we also joined "ASTRI", which is an Italian association born to enhance and consolidate Prato recycled products.
