MTT S.p.A. renews its collaboration with Italian designer Marco Rambaldi on the occasion of the new Fall/Winter 2026/27 collection, presented during Milan Fashion Week.
A project born from the meeting of creativity, material research, and Italian textile culture. For this season, MTT S.p.A. contributed to the creation of the collection through the use of loden cloths and boiled wool fabrics, materials that fully express the Italian manufacturing tradition and the ability to reinterpret it in a contemporary way.
Materials with a strong identity, characterized by structure, compactness, and material depth, which dialogue with Rambaldi’s stylistic vision and become an integral part of the construction of the garments.
The classic as living memory
The Fall/Winter 2026/27 collection reflects on the concept of the classic, understood not as something static but as a living memory that continues to dialogue with the present.
Rambaldi’s work draws inspiration from key figures and works of Italian culture: from the literature of Italo Calvino to the cinema of Pier Paolo Pasolini with Teorema, and the social satire of Paolo Villaggio in Fantozzi.. Different references, yet united by the ability to observe and portray Italian society through a critical and deeply human perspective.
The runway soundtrack further reinforces this narrative, featuring the voice of Ornella Vanoni while …describes the hug as “the most beautiful thing two people can share.” A simple and universal gesture that becomes the emotional symbol of the collection.
Material and Construction: MTT S.p.A.’s Textile Contribution
Within the collection, the fabrics developed by MTT S.p.A. play a central role in shaping the silhouettes.
Loden cloths and boiled wools give the garments a strong material presence and a compact structure, ideal for supporting shapes that play with tailored construction.
Trousers, skirts, and jackets deliberately reveal their internal architecture: inverted waistbands, exposed lapels, and structural details become aesthetic elements that challenge the traditional codes of tailoring.
